Can I get a same-day appointment?

We aim to see all patients as soon as possible. We will assess all requests and we prioritise appointments based on medical need. You may be asked a few questions by our trained medical staff in order that your needs can be assessed. Whenever possible we will offer you a same day appointment

I can't get through on the phone

We deal with up to 400 calls daily and at times receive up to 60 in an hour. We have 4 incoming phone lines and two staff answering your calls. We are also rolling out as many alternative ways of accessing our services as possible so that the phone lines will be less busy. If our phone lines are busy it means we are dealing with other patients and we ask you to keep trying and we answer calls in rotation when we are free. If your call is in relation to an emergency please ring 999 or 112

How do we ensure confidentiality?

All members of the practice team are required to maintain and respect confidentiality at all times. We request that all patients and their representatives refrain from raising clinical matters outside the practice so that this confidentiality can be maintained.

Can I deal with my medical query via email?

We request that you do not email the practice with medical queries or send information relating to your medical condition via email to us. We are not able to guarantee that we access emails in a timely manner. Medical professionals have access to the healthmail system and should use that to contact us.

How do I get my blood, x-ray or scan results?

We perform a large volume of blood tests weekly and the doctor has to process and review these results safely. We aim to give results as soon as we can and this can frequently take up to 4 weeks after we receive the result. We give out these results via text message. If you have not received your results via text please ring the practice nurse between 12.30 and 1.00pm Monday, Tuesday and Thursday or alternatively make an appointment with the doctor to get your results. Please do not  ring the practice secretary outside of these hours regarding results.

How do I get a text message from your practice

We use text messages to give normal test results, to advise you to contact the doctor or nurse to discuss results, to invite you to avail of vaccination clinics, repeat smear tests and chronic disease management and reminders about scheduled appointments. We require your written consent to send you these text messages. Please ask the practice secretary for this form.

I need a form signed

There are some forms that we can fill for you that may not require a doctors appointment. Please enquire at reception about this. We normally need up to a week to complete such forms.
There are certain forms that we cannot fill unless you have a doctors appointment.

How much are your fees

We have detailed all our fees on our website and these can be viewed here. When you have a GMS medical card many of our services are free. Similarly if you have a GP visit card there is no cost to attend for a visit to the GP. There are some services that we provide that are not covered by the Medical card and GP visit card and we have listed these costs.

Do you require my consent?

Patients have a right to give consent or decline consent for services provided. It is often necessary to ask for written consent from a patient or his/her representative where applicable.

Can I get a sick cert?
